COPENHAGEN (AFP) - A two-week strike by Carlsburg employees ended Tuesday, but the world's fourth largest brewer said it could take up to three weeks for stores to fully restock its beer.

"The employees decided at a meeting this morning (Tuesday) that they would start working again at noon (1000 GMT)," Jens Bekke told AFP.

"We have been saying since the beginning that there would be no new negotiations without a return to work," he added.

A meeting between management and Carlsberg employees was planned for later Tuesday.

The strike action started when 500 workers at the Fredericia brewery in western Denmark walked off the job on May 4.

Staff wanted to see salary increases of 1.6 percent this year, and again in 2011.

On May 14, 600 more workers at other storage sites and truck drivers in the country joined the action.

A strike had already disrupted production at Carlsberg in April when staff walked off the job for five days at a depot in the Copenhagen region over a cut in their daily rations of free beer.
