Sweden warns: Don't go to Bangkok!
Sweden's Ministry for Foreign Affairs advised against travel to Bangkok – while the United States closed its embassy.

“Due to the security situation in Bangkok, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs advise against all but essential travel to Bangkok, until further notice”, Sweden’s Embassy in Bangkok said.
The Embassy also urges Swedes in Thailand to observe heightened duty of care and remain continuously updated on the situation.
The same day the United States Thursday closed its embassy in Bangkok and said it was "very concerned" about the violence between the Thai government and protesters there.
"We're very concerned, we're watching it very closely," State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters, adding the US embassy was closed to the public because it is close to the areas of violence.
A Thai "Red Shirt" protester was shot dead during a clash Thursday night in Bangkok between anti-government demonstrators and security forces, police said.
"During the clash between Red Shirts and security forces, one man who was wearing a red shirt was shot in the head and killed," Major General Prawut Thavornsiri, spokesman for the police special task force, told AFP.
An AFP reporter who witnessed the shooting said at least two other people were injured in the confrontation as troops opened fire on protesters charging towards them.
