Fredrik Hansson, chief executive officer of cable and pipe seal supplier Roxtec, on Monday received the Swedish Trade Council’s award Stora Exportpriset (Grand Export Prize) 2010 which was handed out by His Majesty the King of Sweden at a ceremony in Stockholm.
“This is a fantastic recognition of our hard work”, Fredrik Hansson said. “Since the start 20 years ago, we have created a global company. Sweden is our base and the world is our market”.
Last year the Karlskrona-based company was selected as one of Sweden’s hottest “Super companies” by business magazine Veckans Affärer and a “Gazelle company” by business daily Dagens Industri.
“We are of course proud of being recognized as a successful company,” Fredrik Hansson said at the time. “But we do not rest on any results from the past”.
To be nominated for the Grand Export Prize the company should have increased its export sales and achieved success in several markets with a well-built business concept. Other nominated companies were Scalado, Transmode, Vitrolife, Carmel Pharma and Cinnober.
With customers in more than 70 countries, Roxtec today is a fast-growing global company within modular-based cable and pipe seals.
