Swedish defence and security company Saab, maker of Gripen fighter jet, Saab is to serve notice to 115 factory employees at Saab AB in Linköping, the company said in a statement Tuesday.

The move is a result of lower profitability within the Aeronautics business area for both commercial and military activities. The drop in earnings calls for further streamlining measures, the company said.

"We are constantly reviewing operations in order to increase profitability and be a competitive company. It is regrettable that we now have to let employees go, but unfortunately it is unavoidable," said Lennart Sindahl, business area manager for Aeronautics at Saab.

Information about the notice has been submitted to the Swedish Public Employment Service. Negotiations with the trade unions will begin shortly.

This is due to the corrupt dutch government that will cost the taxpayers billions to buy the JSF instead of Saab Gripens...
