Facebook may buy Nokia to build ‘FacePhone’

PC Advidor said that while a potential Facebook smartphone was ridiculed by analysts, one Paris-based marketing expert predicted a “FacePhone” will happen in 18 months, and the social networking giant will buy Nokia for $10 billion to make it happen.

“Facebook will launch the FacePhone and whether it has a blue color and a logo with a big “f” on it, it will definitely be disruptive,” Paul Amsellem, managing director of Mobile Network Group, a mobile marketing company, told the magazine.

“Even at this moment, Facebook doesn’t know what it will look like, but they need to do it.”

If Facebook doesn’t buy Nokia, it could buy BlackBerry maker Research In Motion.

“Facebook needs somebody with an understanding of networking, technology, carrier relationships and logistics,” he told the magazine. “They can acquire one of these two players for not a lot of money.”

Now why would Facebook need to buy a phone maker when it could easily use Apples next generation iPhone, the Apple facefone. It’s time for Apple to find a new name for their future handheld gadgets. facefone would be the continuity of its famous iPhone brand, but matched with the hottest site around, Facebook.
Call me Nostradamus, facefone is the brand name that will unite the these two giants.

should be called “facefone” … then I could sell my domain to the big pockets … someone needs to make money besides them, since all investors ARE NOT … stock down $10 … ;o)
