Knight Capital Group, the largest trader of U.S shares, plans to offer 75 Nordic stocks on its European Knight Link service - a trading model for European equities providing institutional and retail broker-dealers with access to Knight’s liquidity.
"We are very excited to expand Knight Link into the Nordic markets," said Kee-Meng Tan, Managing Director, Head of the Electronic Trading Group in Europe.
The firm introduced Knight Link to Europe on last November, offering 500 Pan-European stocks and trading on average $100 million daily.
Volumes to date have been “beyond our expectations,” Kee-Meng Tan told Bloomberg. “November was quiet, January was amazing and February looks like it may be another record month. We are going to the Nordics because they are the next significant market for us.”
Knight Link will trade large-cap securities in Finland, Denmark and Sweden listed on the NASDAQ OMX Nordic.
