Available flats in Sweden at record low level

• Paul Krugman’s warning to Sweden: ‘You have a significant housing bubble’
Sweden’s supply of apartments for sale fell to the lowest in at least five years as the pace of transactions accelerates, Bloomberg said, referring to the country’s biggest property website.
“The turnover is high and properties are sold fast, which means that there is no build-up,” Hemnet spokesman Staffan Tell told the news agency. Prices last year reached a record, he added.
There were 6,613 apartments available for sale on Hemnet, the country’s biggest property website, in the second week of January, the lowest since it started compiling data in 2008.
Swedish household debt stands at 173 percent of disposable income, leaving the Nordic region’s largest economy vulnerable to shocks, Bloomberg said.
