Computer World reports that Apple has purchased the domain "icloud.com," which it will use as the name of its new online music and storage locker service, from Swedish IT company Xcerion.

The Swedish company got paid 4.5 million dollar for the domain, according to a media report.

Also a Wall Street Journal blogger cited anonymous sources to say that the deal went down.

Xcerion's online file-storage service, formerly known as iCloud, changed its name to CloudMe last month. The company was founded in 2001 by Daniel Arthursson.
