Skanska AB, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, will will be responsible for the entire implementation of the 14,800 square meters project, set up by the London for University College Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The contract amount is £61 million (740 million kronor), which will be included in third-quarter order bookings, the company said in a statement on Friday.
The five floors building is scheduled for completion in October 2011.
In May the company landed the contract for the widening of the M25 orbital road around London.
Skanska reported a sharp improvement in quarterly results last month but was gloomy about the outlook despite a rise in orders. Net profit in the second quarter rose to 1.18 billion kronor (109.1 million euros, 155 million dollars) from 1.08 billion euros in the same period of last year.
