Anka, 69, was a teen idol of the '50s and '60s who wrote such songs as "Put Your Head on My Shoulder" and the Frank Sinatra standard, "My Way." He and his 38-year-old wife, Anna, are going through a contentious divorce. She is seeking a restraining order against him for allegedly pointing a gun at her in their Lake Sherwood home in Thousand Oaks, a claim that he has denied, according to court records.

His civil lawsuit, filed Feb. 2, alleges that Anna gave a Jan. 10 interview to the Swedish newspaper "Expressen," during which she said: "I never signed any prenuptial agreement. He tried to get me to, but I never did. If he claims to have one, it's fake."

Anka alleges those comments are false and imply that he forged her name to an agreement that was notarized and certified by their individual attorneys.

Anna and her attorney were unable to be reached for comment today.

Anka also is suing Anna for battery in connection with an argument they had in November 2008, during which "Anna picked up a large piece of ice, which she hurled at Paul," the complaint states. "The piece of ice struck Paul in the head and caused him to suffer a deep cut, which required him to go to the hospital and receive stitches to close the wound."

The complaint alleges a laundry list of incidents that indicate the couple were sparring within months of their July 17, 2008 wedding in Italy.

They have a 4-year-old son, and she has a 7-year-old child from a previous relationship.

Anka is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.
