Swedish Radio News said a new effort by Danish police to sweep beggars off the streets of Copenhagen may end up driving them to Sweden.

“It’s so that Denmark doesn’t become a hotel where the rumor in Europe is that you can come to Denmark and stay overnight for free and you can also get free meals,” said Trine Bramsen, a Danish MP with the Social Democratic Party.
