Swedish cheap'n'chic fashion group Hennes & Mauritz plans to launch its brand COS in Stockholm this summer. It will be the first COS store in Sweden.
"All of us at COS are thrilled that we are to open in Stockholm. COS is already established in several European cities, and following a thorough search we have also found the perfect location for COS in Stockholm," said Pernilla Wohlfahrt, overall responsible at COS.
COS, Collection of Style, was first launched in March 2007 in Regent Street, London. Today the chain has 35 stores in eight countries.
Summer 2011 sees the launch of COS, which offers “reinvented classics, wardrobe essentials and timeless design that is made to last beyond the season“ on Biblioteksgatan, at the very heart of Stockholm’s key destination shopping area.
Hennes & Mauritz posted a 23 percent rise in third-quarter net profit of 4.24 billion kronor ($627 million), boosted by strong sales and new stores. However, the company cut its store-opening target and said it would open fewer new stores this year than planned due to the weak economy and lack of of attractive store locations.
