Alfa Laval: Alfa Laval wins SEK 90 million power order in Russia

Press release published at The Swedish Wire
Alfa Laval - a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling - has won an order for compact heat exchangers to a nuclear power plant in Russia. The order, booked in Energy & Environment segment late December, has a value of approximately SEK 90 million and delivery is scheduled to start in 2014 and be finalized in 2016.

The Alfa Laval heat exchangers will be used in safety systems for cooling the reactor units in the nuclear power plant, to ensure reliable operation.
"This order reflects the good demand we have seen for power applications for some time now, and it also confirms the good general activity level in Russia," says Lars Renström, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group.

Did you know that? Russia is the third-largest generator of nuclear power in the world and the second country in the world in terms of number of reactors under construction in 2012, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency?

About Alfa Laval
