Event highlights green investment opportunities
• Clean-tech exports boosted by new organisation
A boom in construction in Stockholm, combined with a growing number of Swedish clean-tech companies offers exciting new opportunities for investors.
A carefully selected number of top clean-tech companies from the Swedish capital will present their investment cases to leading international investors and decision-makers at the Stockholm Cleantech Venture Day in September.
"Stockholm is currently one of the most aggressively developing cities in Europe," explained the event's website. "This offers numerous opportunities where modern and green technology is implemented"
September's event is organised by business incubator Stockholm Innovation & Growth (Sting) and the new networking organisation Cleantech Stockholm.
The main theme of the 2012 conference will be "Energy and Water — building business on the challenges of the future".
Companies invited will outline solutions for renewable energy, energy efficiency improvements, energy storage, green IT and smart grid applications, as well as water monitoring and treatment, waste management and air pollution reductions.
It's the 5th straight year that the event has run, and has been a success so far, with the organisers saying that a number of investments have been made in previous years.
