“With our innovative check-in solutions, being amongst the first airlines to introduce Fast Track security and now being the world's most punctual airline, no competitor can come close to SAS in offering time-efficient air travelling," John Dueholm, Deputy President and CEO of the SAS Group said in a statement.
Last month, 92.82 percent of the Scandinavian airline's 15,607 flights arrived on time, putting SAS far ahead of its European and American competitors.
Whilst SAS is now the most punctual major airline, the SAS Group's subsidiary Norwegian airline Widerøe was the world's most punctual across all airlines, both minor and major, with a punctuality of 95.72 percent.
