New iPad jackpot for Ericsson
Sweden's Ericsson, the world's top-selling telecoms equipment, may gain from Apple's new iPad, according to JP Morgan.
The new iPad will be available in a 4G LTE model. It could force telecom operators -- not only in America but also in Europe -- to accelerate their LTE investments, business daily Dagens Industri said.
Ericsson is the largest player in LTE and are thus likely to benefit from Apple's introduction of LTE products, the investment bank pointed out.
Apple unveiled the third generation of its popular iPad tablet computer Wednesday, with a host of upgraded features that include 4G, or LTE, compatibility, a high-resolution display and a quad-core processor far superior to competitors.
